🔥 How to check the Principles of Management? Maybe most of Fayol's 14 Principles of Management are still necessary for organizations today, but what if we find a few of them can not be used in some kind of enterprises.
For example, in a decentralized organization, hierarchy is not important, such company will need professional training and further education to their employees.
Likewise, Stability of Tenure of Personnel is valid only for a small part of the people or faculties of a university. For other people and parts, this principle can not be used, as stability of tenure of personnel is more difficult to persist.

	Fayol's 14 Principles Checklist I think we should consider Fayol's 14 management principles as just that - principles. They are not cast in stone, but things to consider, ideas, a checklist if you want, that is providing guidance. They are things to consider, to think about when you are designing, analyzing, or managing an organization. We should honor Fayol as a great management thinker and regard his 14 principles as a major milestone in management (French: administration). But HOW they are implemented can and must vary according to the situation and the circumstances, which are different from organization to organization, from time to time, and from place to place. You should the principles in a flexible way. So in your example, when you have a strongly decentralized organization and find little or no hierarchy (Fayol's principle #9), then that is no reason to be worried or to demand for more hierarchy. Rather it is a reminder to ask yourself or discuss the question: what could be the consequences, pitfalls, advantages and disadvantages of so little hierarchy in this organization in these circumstances?
