Short Biography of Henry Fayol, the Management Thinker and Writer Henry Fayol was born in Istanbul (Ottoman Empire) on 29 July 1841 and died in Paris (France) on the 19th of November, 1925. He is quoted in Wikipedia with considerable details and all his publications.
After his graduation in Mining and having joined a mining company, of which he later became a director, he started researching and inventing various management principles and a general theory of business administration, having contemporary thoughts on scientific and modern management theory, systems and Principles. Also called Fayolism.
Besides his books, which are already quoted by our friend from the Netherlands Mr. Jaap de Jonge, above, Fayoil also published a bunch of management articles.
He can be called the Father of Modern Management Concepts and is highly contemporary in his contributions, on which till date many recent thinkers, authors, scholars and professors rely. Personally I am his follower.
