Memorizing the 14 Principles by Fayol The real question is, do you really need to memorize them? My answer - and advice - is that memorizing them wouldn't add a value to you as a manager.
Understanding the principals & how they are - or should be - implemented is an assurance that you know them without really needing to memorize them.

No Need for Rote Learning Any Management Models, But... @Salim Bellemcherrah: Haha, that's right and we from 12manage advise to all managers and management professionals in the world: there's no need for memorizing all management approaches by heart; you can always look them up quickly at 12manage.com... :-).
But seriously, even if we offer so many ways to look up what you need, ranging from categorizing the approaches in 12 management disciplines to a management dictionary to zooming in to them to FAQ on Management to a full text search and so forth, you will still need to have some understanding of the situation and the issues at hand and the need to actually start looking for something specifically.
And that is where a higher business education and experience still remain important.

Generic Strategies for Remembering Something There are many ways to remember certain things, based on how our brain's memory works. The link below is a research-based collection of eight strategies to boost our memory and keep it strong. Your question how to remember the 14 Principles of Fayol might be answered by the third strategy mentioned in the article:
CREATE A MENTAL MEMORY TREE. If you're trying to memorize a large number of facts, find a way to relate them in your mind visually with a memory tree. Construct big branches first, then leaves. Branches and leaves should carry labels that are personally meaningful to you in someway, and the organization of the facts ("leaves") should be logical.

Remembering Fayol's Principles is Needed Less Fayol 14 principles were developed to suit to the conditions in the time of the industrial revolution. At the time, the objective was to improve on the productivity.
Now that business is in the era of knowledge and experience economy, I think we may need to revisit the managerial principles to suit to the current context and living conditions. The objective is now the generation of new knowledge and improvement of the quality of experience levels.
For example, the advent of the Iot, semantic web enables us to provide the suitable knowledge and wisdom available to the context we are in. As a result, the emphasis on remembering things is reduced and more emphasis should be given to improving the quality of experience levels.

Memorising & Applying Fayol's Principles Is it possible to put these principles into action if you do not know i.e. cannot remember them?
There are a number of memory techniques that could be used, check any memory techniques book.
However, the simplest approach (and the one with the largest impact in the organisation) will be to have them printed (at least A3 size) and posted around the offices/works walls. Here they can not only be seen by yourself and others but your actioning of them will also be seen and memorised by others. As 'wallpaper' they might become ignored or they might, through osmosis, be incorporated into the "this is how we do things around here" paradigm or work ethos.
