Communication Modes In fact I would consider / call the verbal or non-verbal not types of communication, but rather modes of communication.
Interpersonal, intrapersonal or mass communication can be verbal (e.g. speaking to others or to oneself) and non-verbal (like body language, facial expressions, etc).

G. Collaborative Communication Looking at various types of communication as described between A-F, I'd like to consider "Collaborative Communication", involving few primary stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting interests, as it often happens around airports, but with many secondary stakeholders, such as residents.
Is anyone interested in exploring the role of communication in collaborative learning and in collaborative decision making?

Informational and Persuasive Communication I agree with Shahid that verbal and non-verbal communications should be seen as modes of communication.
The communication types could be like this:
- Informational - where one only communicates to deliver some information to others; no action is needed on part of recipients.
- Persuasive - where one tries to persuade / convince the recipients about something based on certain facts / ideas / beliefs etc.

Functional and Informative Communication I'd like to classify communication into following 2 groups:
- Functional - which includes several subgroups: expressive...
- Informative - a way to convey information.
