Leadership by Using Psychology
Effective leaders understand the psyche of their teams. Those who struggle tend to be technically focused and think they can succeed without winning people over.
Technical skills are important, but you need motivated and committed people for it to work. The individual psychology is important to understand the persons strengths, weaknesses, desires, motivators and demotivating factors. By understanding those, the leader is best suited to channel the work effectively to each team member and get productivity out of them.
This will have to be done through authentic and honest conversations. Through the leader's commitment to develop, mentor and coach individuals and appreciating diversity of mind, thoughts and ideas.
