Leadership by Example Irrespective of the leadership style exhibited by anyone in this position, one outstanding principle is leading by example.
This principle cuts across different facets of life either in secular or in the ministry. If you are a pastor of a church, it is expected that you lead the people you are pastoring through your exemplary lifestyles. In the secular world, as a CEO of an organisation, your lifestyle naturally will command respect and compliance from the led if they are motivated and inspired by you.
In a nutshell, inspiration and motivation is very key in attaining success in leadership.

Behavioural Patterns of Those Who Take the Lead I think that leaders should be at the forefront of demonstrating their attitudes to those they lead. As the saying goes 'action speak louder', most people would like to see leaders/managers live by what they say. Eyes are focused more on what a person does than what they say. Performance results from actions, not words.
