So Many Leadership Theories I think the most common theory in leadership is to out shine peers in all areas of business from social responsibility to financial performance.

So Many Leadership Theories I do not agree that the most common theory in leadership is to out shine peers. This is too directed at the leader being above others.

So Many Leadership Theories It all depends upon who is being served by the leaders, how are they being served, and are the appropriate and desired results being achieved.
The fundamental question is for who's benefit do you lead?

So Many Leadership Theories The most prevalent theory is that leadership should be holistic and practised with social responsibility, but in practice it often manifests as an "outshining of peers", or an one upmanship, if you will.

Team Leadership Leadership now is moving away from the point man type or hero type leader to a team system where the executive team drives the agenda with a huge emphasis on social responsibility and good corporate citizenship. The maturity of markets requires change leaders due to the continual change the environment is dictating.
