I feel being effective alone will not lead to greatness. But being effective and efficient while being also Emotionally Intelligent will lead to greatness. Mr. Covey should take that as a separate topic and throw some light on this for our betterment.

The Leadership Skills you Need beyond Effectiveness

Hello Manju you are right. In this highly dynamic environment where everything is based on efficiency and effectiveness, the right dose of emotional intelligence is imperative in taking the concerns of all the stakeholders on board.
yet another important aspect of effectively leading an organisation is the aspect of being authentic in all our endeavours. No doubt a high degree of authenticity is a driving force for trust and engagement on the part of the followers.
If you combone all those, the right decision and problem solving strategies can be collectively arrived at. Both for individual and organisational goals.
