Stephen Covey 1932-2012
It's with great sadness I write that FranklinCovey Company announced the passing of Stephen Covey peacefully this morning due to the residual effects of a bicycle accident he suffered this past April. He was in his 80th year. In his final hours, he was surrounded by his loving wife and each of his children and their spouses.

My Inspirational Leader and Teacher Stephen Covey has been my "spiritual father and mentor" for the past 24 years (half a life time, being 48 years old). He has influenced my life immensely both personally and professionally.
I will always cherish his contribution to mankind...
May his soul rest in peace.

Stephen Covey - Respect and Thanks to Him I got introduced to his landmark book, The Seven Habits, in 1997. I have read it innumerable times and even now find it one of the best reads!
It enabled me to have a re-look at myself and my behaviors and the way I deal with people and the world around me. It enabled me to change and address the same issues that I used to deal with in a reflexive way, to now first reflect and then act.
With Mr. Covey's book my relationship with me has improved and has also the 7 Habits helped me in dealing with others, at least to my satisfaction.
I not only read it, I passed it on to many others who might have benefited if they actually read it.
I gave it to my growing daughter, but possibly it is too early still for her to read.
I then read his other books and appreciated those too, but found them no match to the first one.
Today I pay my sincere respects and express my thanks to Stephen for enabling a badly needed change in my life -- I am a better human because of your writings!
