What is a Strategic Window?A Strategic Window is a period of time during which the strategy will work. More precisely, it is the relatively short time interval during which the fit between the factors critical for success in a market and the Distinctive Competencies of a business competing in that market are favorable / optimal. Compare also: Dynamic Capabilities. Competitors introduce new products and new services. Technology continues to advance. And the needs of clients are changing fast. Obviously, businesses should prepare for and respond appropriately to the "opening" and "closing" of strategic windows. The Time to Market must be decreased. Resource allocation, Value Chain activities and marketing efforts should be aimed to coincide with this moment. Also referred to as Window of Opportunity.
