Grove, CEO of Intel, in his book: Only the Paranoid Survive. it is a time in the life of a business when its fundamentals are going to change. That change can mean an opportunity or a threat. A strategic inflection point can be caused by technological change but it is more than a technological change. It can also be caused by competitors but it is more than just competition. It is a full-scale change in the way business is conducted, so that simply adopting new technology or fighting the competition in the normal way may be insufficient.
