12manage Premium Membership I'm an independent HR consultant in the NY area. I have been using 12manage for several years now to quickly lookup terms etc. and decided to upgrade to a premium membership. Well... I am happy. This is a lot of value for just over $200...:
- For most topics they have expert tips, PowerPoints, videos and other resources available so I can prepare my work quickly without visiting the library.
- (At last) I can now copy, paste and print text and graphics in a simple way.
- Because of premium I'm ranking now at the top in the search results and my community. I'm probably getting more traffic to my profile page, LinkedIn and company website as a result.
I recommend premium if you're a consultant.

12manage Premium Services The field of management is a key element for success, be it management of private, business, government, or social relationships, etc. It has started ever since the word "efficiency" was widely accepted as an overall performance indicator of tangible and intangible development. The fraction "output/resources" must always be over one. The manager's nightmare is to reach 100% efficiency, but that is a phantasy because all resources have some degree of unsteadiness, specially labor. Nevertheless, the manager's job is to struggle against this unreasonable and erratic feature of resources to be able to predict its future behavior and prevail on the long run. That is an endless task to be accomplished, in spite of knowing that we will never be able to reach 100% efficiency in using all resources at hand.

Premium Service is very Cost Efficient Investment I agree the Premium service is a very cost efficient investment when you balance it from your own perspective. Let´s us use a perspective where 12manage (as a Institution) and Premium members both together offering a service to universities or libraries where once a year a premium member set a speech day for a specific SIG topic. Knowledge is the Future Asset I would say 12manage is a very good platform to gain different views on the same topic. Today anyone working in a corporate should have a good understanding of management and for that they don't need a full time MBA, all they need is a community of managers to learn.
This platform invites managers from all over the world with their own personal experiences which provides insights not given in books. Being a user I have read some articles on B2B marketing which helped me to see the same concept differently.
Also if you look at some top consulting firms like McKinsey, they also have an entire knowledge center to store the experiences of their employees forever to help. Knowledge is actually going to be the future asset which makes 12manage sustainable.
But I believe there is always some room for improvement. We can add even more topics/subtopics or encourage more users to learn/contribute or find many more things to grow exponentially and spread knowledge.

Commoditization of Information, Scarcity of Skillful Application In the business education space, and in formalized higher education in general, there is a race to increase the accessibility of and decrease the cost of information to learners. Just as with Wikipedia, raw information in the form of definitions and terminology banks is becoming a zero-marginal cost product.
The more differentiation that goes into the cultivation and curation of this information to enrich it beyond what's freely available will determine some of the future value, however, what the customer needs has a major impact on whether that surplus value is perceivable converted into a higher willingness to pay. All that jargon is to say, targeted knowledge just-in-time that aids or instructs for skillful application will supply a more valuable product to the future than merely having lots of "stuff." Search, tagging, SIG curation and leadership, etc. become costly but necessary developments for value proposition improvement.

High Quality of Materials I've been 12manage member since 2009, much appreciated & recommended to my younger colleagues. Switched to Premium because there are highly interesting very recent approaches in some topics for enterpreneurship.
I am not so much keen on digital networking as millenial generation is... So that's not my motivation as compared to high quality of materials posted.
