Application of BCG Matrix in Forestry

Hello everyone, does anybody can help me with application of BCG matrix in forestry?
Currently I am working on a project and got a task to use BCG model to analize business portfolio of a forest company. From my point of view, the BCG model is not applicable in forestry, as life-cycle of forest products (wood) is not defined and forest company does not have much room for changing products in its portfolio (it is limited by quantity and structure of wood).
Please share your opinion... Thanks in advance!

BCG for Forestry

1. First find what are revenue giving activities in forestry.
2. Find demand/ growth rate of those activities
3. Find relative market share of your company in each category
4. Considering demand forecasts or surveys for long term growth place those activities suitably in each partition.
5. Also position each activity in each BCG segment near or away from the corresponding axis and size of circle according to quantitative aspects of each business activity/product/service.
If you need further help, feel free to contact me.
