Microfinance and Economic Crisis

It is indeed very much influenced by the current economic crisis because of the trickling down effect. Not so much is getting into the hands of the under-privileged.

Influence of Economic Crisis on Institutions and Recipients

It depends on how the micro finance institution is capitalized.
I believe that it may not have been affected, beyond threshold, by the current financial meltdown.
The recipients of the micro credit are also not affected by the meltdown in the same way as they were not affected by the boom times as well.
