Factory Motivation?

I would like to raise a topic that I know little about.
1.- When did factory workers feel that they were exploited? and more important
2.- How can we reach a stage where the factory worker says "my remuneration is fair"?

I imagine that about 50 years after the industrial revolution began, the idea of exploitation
was already in the minds of the workers (approximately 1850). But I don't know precise literature on the subject.
