Trade versus Product Marketing Unlike product marketing, trade marketing is a direct relationship between the manufacturer and the distributor.
We must consider the distributor as a final client to the industrial, and not an intermediate one.
There must be increased motivation to work together as well as to optimize the flow of information, and to maintain a win-win relationship. And to sell the product through distributor, and minimize the costs.

Product Marketing (PM) versus Trade Marketing (TM) We should not forget about the target audience: TM is all about your shopper first of all, and PM - consumer. TM is expert on shopper and owns retail environment.

Trade Marketing Mix: Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers and Shoppers are all Key @Alyona: I could not agree more with your view. Trade Marketing (TM) coordinates the retail environment.
In addition however, TM has responsibility for the dealer/distributor value point, especially in markets that are still evolving in retail.
TM influences the whole value chain from distributor to shopper.
