Cross Cultural Communication
For my research in intercultural communication inside organizations, I am looking for cultural differences between western (better Italian) and eastern Europe, in particularly in Poland, Serbia and Croatia. Who can help me to find out any important elements of difference?

Hofstede Hello Simonetta,
Hofstede's original research, conducted in the early 1970s, has values for Italy and for Yugoslavia but not for the separate states they have become more recently. He seems not to have done research in Poland, probably because IBM was not active in that country at that time.
You can look at his book Culture's Consequences: Comparing Values, Behaviors, Institutions and Organizations Across Nations for the values or, for that matter, go to your local university library and look at books on cross-cultural management. Most will have information on Hofstede and the cultural values of the countries he studied.
Ciao e buona fortuna.
