Benefits of 360 Degree Appraisals
By using 360-degree feedback as part of your staff appraisal and development process you can bring some serious benefits to both your business and your people:
1. People gain much better self awareness by learning how their colleagues perceive them.
2. People generally like 360 degree feedback. They take things less personally and are more likely to take on board what's been said.
3. It helps people understand how their behaviour influences both their own personal effectiveness and that of the organisation.
4. It improves communication within the organisation
5. It encourages a more open culture where giving and receiving constructive feedback is the norm.
6. It is a very powerful driver for change both for individuals and organisations as a whole.

360 Feedback Advantages I liked the concept of 360 feedback. The method can grab information and performance of the appraisee in line with the service or product with which he/she is interacting. The report will 8. provide a mirror reflecting the attitude of the employee towards his/her organisation and / or product he/she is dealing with. The motivation or frustration of the employee will emerge from the feedback and this will 9. enable the employer to coach and further train the employee in the shortcomings identified.

360 Degree Feedback Benefit A 360 degrees feedback, as a manager, 10. puts you in reality. It is a full test of maturity, through which the manager evicts his fantasies of omnipotence.

360 Degree Assessment (method) 360 degree assessment should not be considered a frivolous tool in the hands of employees, but rather an act transferring responsibility to the group.
The horizon, that must prevail in this action, is the company's continuous improvement and solid implementation of quality plans. This tool should not assume that managers engage in a popularity contest to be benefited by benign ratings of subordinates.

The Beauty of 360 Degree Feedback The 360 degree appraisal is a fantastic and effective system due to the fact that it helps the individual employee to find out how his or her co-workers sees him or her and how he or she influences them. It can also eliminate stereotyping judgement by a manager or supervisor towards an individual at work.

360 Degree Between Appraisal and Performance Despite of the many benefits of this assessment method, management should still not base the performance of the employee only on such "all round appraisal", but must also have templates for assessing the employee's contributions to the growth/goals of the organization.
This 360 method of assessment can be handicapped by grandstanding dichotomies in employee politics of a company. Nevertheless, the 360 is a valid appraisal tool for both employees, managers, directors etc. It can be further developed to serve also as a Public Relations assessment strategy for individuals, political leaders, public servants and even companies sectorialy.
