Edward de Bono Obituary

Edward de Bono died on June 09, 2021. He was 88. De Bono was a highly respected authority on creative thinking with an interest in the mind and its method of organizing information such as Six Thinking Hats.
Born in 1933 and educated at St Edward's College, de Bono graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Malta before studying physiology and psychology at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and a PhD at Cambridge. His transdisciplinary background enabled him to see the world differently and invent practical tools and methods from this perspective.

De Bono's more than 85 books were translated into 46 languages. "Edward de Bono lived an extraordinary life, inspiring, encouraging and enabling us to be better and more creative thinkers," said a post on his website that announced his death.

"Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting."
But he also cautioned: "An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea".

Thank you for Highlighting This

Thank you for highlighting this - I wasn't aware he died.
I like this piece from an article online:
"Studies have shown that 90% of error in thinking is due to error in perception. If you can change your perception, you can change your emotion and this can lead to new ideas. Logic will never change emotion or perception."
Hope you and yours are well and happy.
Best regards from Scotland,
George.
