Management with a Social Orientation
Though we are thinking our best action for our company, we should not forget our social responsibility. I am proud of my Tata group because it is a social oriented group. We should return some portion of our profit to the weaker section of society.

Human Being Management ...Inclusive economy. This is where we're heading for. I very much like this comment; in fact I believe if humanity doesn't actually work towards a better balance / better and balanced sharing of the wealth / better sharing of simple and complex learning and better sharing of discoveries and treatment for good health then humanity will ultimately descend into chaos and perhaps even worse. This is why I have been predicting for years we will see more of the capitalist / selected socialist economy mixes, as seen in several Scandinavian countries. Or to put all of that in different words, I predict that pure uncontrolled capitalism (uncontrolled greed) also will ultimately bring chaos and even war.
I also predict that more and more leaders (political / business etc.) will move towards a more balanced human respect-, human caring-, human sharing model.

Management with a Social Orientation I totally agree to share with the weakest part of society; that is a modern mandate in relation to true social responsibility.
But on the other side, let's take a real example related to the involvement of all those who participate in the quality food production (fruits) value chain. Some customers (read supermarkets in the USA and EU) want to buy cheaper and cheaper, sometimes even below production costs and still they require certifications of all kinds: environmental, fair treatment, social responsibility, codes of conduct, etc. But these things cost money and they (these buyers) do not participate in the improvement of the price of the products to collaborate in the maintenance and compliance with these demands.
So 'earnings' are sometimes not enough to satisfy investors and shareholders; and therefore our need to deal with the social aspects of the collaborators is complicated... Our commitment is to always work hard to comply and convince the customers of our social responsibilities with people and to not "dodge" the bullet.
