Exploring Possible Strategic Directions
🔥 It is a very good approach for identify two or more possible directions to judge what is right and what is wrong. By using scenario planning, we can narrow the decision making down to a smaller scope. Usually, before taking action to get a strategy plan, all possibilities must be checked which might direct the company towards the right situation. A wrong strategy will lead the company to end up in a trap.
A scenario is like a scenario in battle. Before you launch the attack to others, you have to consider what the enemy will do against your strategy. I encourage senior managers to be involved in scenario planning before deciding the strategy in reality.
