Hi Sanjita, that is a very broad, complex and academic question... However let me start with an unstructured draft:
Define:
- D1) Cost/service matrix - from strategy and s&m understand where we need to be compared to main competitors
- D2) Key competences - internal external
Measure:
- M1) Costs-leadtimes tradeoff
Analyse:
- A1) Geographical proximity
- A2) Tech requirements
- A3) ICT interfaces
- A4) Coherent partners selection
Improve:
- I1) Audit partners and investigate tendering strategy
- I2) Tendering

How to Go About Supply Chain Design

Major criteria of implementing or optimizing supply chain design should take all different factors into account in terms of leveraging global cost-effectiveness ranging from entire upstream to downstream supply chain flows versus if any CAPEX required, and customer satisfaction in terms of shorter lead time in a more digitized and customized way of delivery process, information, customer process capabilities and its execution. The tool should be one common language called PMP, project management process among all stakeholders. There are seven steps to do it such as open, select, do, implement, produce, sell and close. Each stage gate require specific validation process before move to next. Let me continue next for the steps if anyone needs interests..
