Average Age of Entrepreneurs
Most people probably think that most current startups are founded by young entrepreneurs. However, an analysis by Pierre Azoulay and all (NBER, 2018) reveals that successful entrepreneurs are middle-aged, not young. The average age of a founder in the USA between 2007-2014 is actually… 42!
Moreover, when the top 1‰ of startups (by employment growth) is considered, the mean founder age is 45.

Age of Entrepreneurs That is not necessarily surprising when one considers the influence experience has on entrepreneurship.

What is the Average Age of Entrepreneurs? @Kirk C. Heriot: I agree with you. But perhaps it surprises the many people who focus on reading articles about recent technology-driven entrepreneurs like the ones developing various "Apps" or the ones starting some "Channel" on YouTube, etc.
