What is a Dual Commitment?Dual Commitment is the situation wherein an employee feels a divided loyalty between commitment to the organization that employs him and another group or organization. Typically this other organization can be a trade union, or a professional association. But also commitments to family, friends, religious groups, community groups, or even sports clubs can make the commitment to an organization less then 100%. Some people view employees with less then 100% commitment as a problem, others view it as a sign of an appropriate work-life-social balance.
