획득가치 관리는 무엇인가? 정의

획득가치 관리는 다음 3가지를 통합하는 통합 프로그램 측정 및 관리 기법이다.

• 기술적 성과 요구사항.
• 자원계획 일정.
• 리스크 관리.

즉 EVM은 자원계획을 일정과 기술적 비용, 그리고 일정 요구사항에 결합시키는 관리도구이다. 모든 작업은 성과측정의 기준이 되는 시간단계별 "계획된 가치의 증가분(planned value increments)"으로 계획되고, 예산과 일정이 수립된다.

EVM의 목적

EVM 시스템의 2가지 주요한 목적 :

1. 계약자가 효과적인 내부 비용 및 일정 관리 통제 시스템을 활용할 수 있도록 독려한다 ; 그리고
2. 고객이 제품지향적인 계약의 진척상태를 결정하기 위하여 그러한 시스템에 의해 산출되는 적시의 자료(timely data)를 신뢰할 수 있도록 해준다.

계약에 EVM을 적용하는 주요한 목적 :

• 계약자가 효과적인 내부 비용 및 일정 관리 통제 시스템을 활용할 수 있도록 독려하기 위하여.
• 고객의 더 나은 관리상 통찰력을 위해, 시스템에 의해 산출되는 적시의 자료(timely data)를 신뢰할 수 있도록 하기 위하여.
• 이러한 자료는 반대로 제품지향적인 계약의 진척상황을 결정하는데 활용된다.
• 추세에 기초한 미래성과 예측.
• 또한 EVM은 더 훌륭하고 효과적인 의사결정을 하여 프로젝트에 부정적인 효과를 최소화하도록 해준다.

획득가치 관리의 이점

EVM은 프로젝트에서 얼마만큼의 작업이 이루어졌는지 객관적으로 측정한다. EVM 프로세스를 사용하여, 관리팀은 달성해야될 계획된 작업량과, 실제로 완료된 작업량을 바로 비교할 수 있다. 모든 작업은 성과측정의 기준이 되는 시간단계별 "계획된 가치의 증가분(planned value increments)"으로 계획되고, 예산과 일정이 수립된다.
