MabuZayed  Business Consultant, United States

12 rules to guide your organization survival.

1. Invest in information & capitalize on the value of technology.
2. Adopt talent management as a strategic direction to manage the human capital.
3. Be a leading force that creates change and leads it rather than be side-blinded by it.
4. Embrace the collaborative approach to leadership.
5. Success should not be measured by financial gains only; adopt a balanced scorecard approach.
6. While adopting a result-based management approach pay deep attention to the process, and learn from it.
7. Benchmark, audit, and evaluate; and always ask why and why not?
8. Regardless of the type of an organization you are, remember that your success should be reflected through the value you add to people's lives.
9. Profits are good, greed is not.
10. Remember: Good things may come to those who wait, BUT not to those who wait too long.
11. Organizations are like people. They die too.
12. The term "the world is getting smaller" does not mean the world has shrunk we just feel that way.
