What’s Next for Generation Next?

Generation next is made up of young adults between 18 to 25 years of age who are usually positive with their lives and optimistic about their futures. Gen Nexters feel that educational and job opportunities are better for them today than for the previous generation. They have grown up with cell phones, i-pads, bigger pocket allowance / income and the internet.
Gen next are also enterprising, have greater absorption for risks, new and innovative ideas, and are now taking their place in a world where the only constant is rapid change. They are politically, socially, economically and even environmentally more aware, tolerant of social issues such as religion, race and gender.
A large number of technological and service oriented enterprise are set up by new age entrepreneur’s such as Bansal's of Flipkart, who in my opinion are also Gen nexters.
At the same time, Gen Nexters reflect limited set of life experiences of their attitudes and aspirations. A majority of them feel that “getting rich” is the main goal of most people in their age group, and casual sex, teen pregnancy, binge drinking, illegal drug use and violence are more prevalent among young people today than was the case 20 years ago. They are also not up to facing failures so early. Age is no substitute for experience and rightly so as, Gen nexters choice of life and profession can be casual and impulsive.
The author attempts to relate young achiever's and their progressive outlook in present scenario with a brief on their constraints and hurdles.
